Guwahati: AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam has challenged Raijor Dol leader and Legislator Akhil Gogoi over the recent allegations of Akhil Gogoi demanding Rs 10 crores to join the Grand Alliance in Assam.
Islam on Thursday stated, “I would like to challenge Akhil Gogoi and ask him not to mock me over anything. We have evidence of him demanding the money to join the Grand Alliance.”
He added that Akhil Gogoi can seek legal assistance over the issue but he (Islam) can prove his words as he has all the needed evidence.
The Dhing MLA further warned Akhil Gogoi against using any obscene and unparliamentarily words directed towards Aminul Islam.
He added, “People of the state have understood what type of a person Akhil Gogoi is by the language and behavior he had been portraying over the past few days.”
It may be mentioned that Akhil Gogoi had denied the allegations made by the AIUDF MLA. Akhil had also claimed that he is the “most honest” politician in Assam.
