Doctored Video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah Leads to Arrests of AAP and Congress Members

National Desk, 30th April: At least three individuals associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress have been apprehended in connection to a doctored video featuring Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Two individuals were detained by investigators from the Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Department, while another person was taken into custody in Assam.

The falsified video of the Union Home Minister gained traction on social media platforms. Several Congress officials shared the video on their social media accounts, alleging that the BJP intended to abolish reservation policies.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a firm stance against the Congress, accusing them of fostering confusion and social discord by advocating for religious reservations, a position vehemently opposed by the BJP.

During a press conference in Guwahati, Shah emphasized, “Congress is sowing seeds of religious discord by advocating for religious reservations. Their efforts to reclassify Muslims into the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category are particularly concerning.”

Meanwhile, the BJP and its allies continue to make substantial gains in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, steadily approaching and surpassing the 100-seat milestone. Notably, their appeal is expanding into the southern regions of the country, mirroring trends observed in previous electoral cycles. With confidence in their upward trajectory, BJP leaders express optimism about the possibility of exceeding the 400-seat threshold.
