Pearl’s owner Vanessa Semler recently presented it to the world on an Italian TV show Lo Show Dei Record.
The owner said, “We are very lucky to have the smallest dog in the world. We have a unique opportunity to share this news.”
Moreover, to verify Pearl’s height the dog’s vet, Dr Giovanni Vergel, used a dog measuring wicket to accurately determine her height three consecutive times. The height was measured three times at different intervals at Crystal Creek Animal Hospital in Orlando.
According to Guinness World Records, the first measurements were taken from the base of her front foot to the top of the shoulders in a vertical line which makes Pearl special is her calm nature which is different from other Chihuahuas. Other Chihuahua species dogs are usually fickle.
