Domestic LPG Connections To Get Costlier By Rs 750

Guwahati: Oil marketing companies have increased the cost of a new household LPG cylinder connection by Rs 750 from June 16.

Customers would be required to pay a security deposit of Rs 2,200 when obtaining new connections as a result of the recent price hike.

Previously, the cost of establishing a new connection was Rs 1,450. Customers will have to pay a security deposit of Rs 4,400 for taking two cylinders while getting a new connection, according to the latest modification.

This means that if clients order two 14.2 kilogramme cylinders, they would be charged an additional Rs 1,500.

Furthermore, the price of gas regulators has been increased, with customers now having to pay Rs 250 for a regulator, up from Rs 150 previously.

In the meantime, the security deposit for a five-kilogram cylinder has been increased from Rs 800 to Rs 1,150.

In addition, new users would be charged Rs 150 and Rs 25 for the pipe and passbook that come with a new connection, respectively.

LPG usage was 28.1 percent higher in June 2022 than in June 2019 and 2.9 percent higher than 1.03 million tonnes in May 2022.
