Double Delight: Indian Farmers and Artisans Shine in Guinness World Records
Northeast, August 14 — In a remarkable display of skill and dedication, two Indian record-breakers have made their mark on the global stage. Yilobemo Erui, a farmer from Wokha, has set a new Guinness World Record for the tallest coriander plant, measuring an astonishing 2.77 meters. Grown organically without any fertilizers, this towering achievement has brought pride to Erui’s village, district, and state.
Meanwhile, in West Bengal’s Ranaghat, a team of skilled artisans led by Abhiyan Sangh is on a mission to create a colossal 125-foot Durga idol for this year’s Durga Puja celebrations. With a herculean effort of 12-14 hours a day, they aim to surpass last year’s record and ensure the idol’s safety with a fibre cast. These incredible feats showcase Indian talent and determination, making their mark in the Guinness World Records.
