Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati Sworn in as 27th Governor of Odisha

Aizawl: Former Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati took the oath of office as the 27th Governor of Odisha on January 3 during a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.

The oath was administered by Orissa High Court Chief Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, with several dignitaries in attendance, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik, state ministers, MLAs, MPs, and BJP leaders.

Dr. Kambhampati succeeded Raghubar Das, who recently resigned from the post.

On January 2, Kambhampati received a ceremonial farewell from Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma at the Lengpui Airport. During the farewell, he expressed his gratitude for the hospitality he received during his tenure in Mizoram and acknowledged the state’s potential for progress, urging collective efforts to continue advancing the region. He conveyed his deep attachment to Mizoram and offered his best wishes for its future.

Dr. Kambhampati had served as the 22nd Governor of Mizoram, having been sworn in on July 21, 2021.
