Dr. Jaishankar Leads Diplomatic Visit to Assam, Showcasing State’s Cultural Heritage and Investment Opportunities

Kaziranga: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, accompanied by High Commissioners and Ambassadors from 45 nations, embarked on an elephant safari at the renowned Kaziranga National Park, marking the beginning of a high-profile diplomatic and investment-focused visit to Assam.

The delegation arrived at Jorhat Airport earlier today, kicking off a packed schedule that will showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage and investment opportunities.

The visit will feature a grand cultural spectacle, Jhumoir Binondini, at Sarusajai Stadium tomorrow, highlighting Assam’s vibrant Jhumur dance tradition.

This event will offer international representatives an immersive experience of the state’s cultural richness. The delegation will also attend the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025, scheduled for February 25-26 at Khanapara.

The two-day summit aims to attract investments by convening key policymakers, industry leaders, and global stakeholders. With Dr. Jaishankar and an esteemed panel of diplomats in attendance, the summit is expected to reinforce Assam’s growing stature as a strategic hub for economic and infrastructural advancements.
