DRDO constructs 7 storey building in 45 days

Guwahati: In a world record within 45 days, the Centre’s defence research institute, DRDO, erected a multi-story facility for the flight control system.

The 7-storey will be equipped with facilities for researching fighter aircraft avionics and the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) project’s flight control system (FCS).

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be inaugurating the building today. As per the reports, the cost of the project has been estimated at around ₹15,000 crore.

Rajnath Singh sharing this news on Twitter, “I shall be visiting Bengaluru today. Looking forward to attend the inauguration of the FCS Complex at Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE).”

To improve its air power capability, India has been working on the ambitious AMCA project to create a fifth-generation medium fighter jet.

The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) building is 1.3 square feet in size and was built utilising in-house technology.

ANI tweeted, “DRDO has built a 7 storey building in record 45 days which would be used as the R&D facility for the indigenous development of fifth generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) in Bengaluru. The building would be inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today.”
