Dressed In Black, Congress Leaders Stage Protest Against Inflation, Unemployment
Guwahati: Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and other leaders of the Congress party protested against price increases and inflation at the Parliament on Friday while dressed in black.
Rahul Gandhi can be seen in photographs donning a black shirt, while Priyanka Gandhi Vadra opted for a black suit.

“What are your thoughts on the decline of democracy? In just 8 years, the nation’s 70 years of construction were devastated. In India today, there is no democracy!” Gandhi made this statement today at a press conference in the capital.
Gandhi made the following remarks in a covert attack on PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and two businessmen: “In India today, a four-person dictatorship rules. We want to bring up issues like unemployment and inflation. We want to talk about how divided society is.”
“Parliament does not allow the opposition to speak. On the highway, we are detained. India is currently in this state. The media is unable to be courageous in the current climate ” he added.
Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Center had inserted “its people” into the workings of the administration.
“The opposition in a democracy relies on the power of institutions to fight. In other words, the nation has a judicial system, an electoral system, and as of right now, a media system. Nevertheless, the Central Government has placed its citizens in all of these institutions “explained Rahul Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge wore a black kurta and turban in protest against price rise and unemployment.
The Congress is protesting against unemployment, rising costs, and an increase in the GST rate. Party leaders are marching from the Parliament in Delhi to the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Similar demonstrations will be held all throughout the nation by the party’s state branches.
