Guwahati: A youth who had been apprehended for drug possession reportedly managed to escape from police custody while wearing handcuffs in Tamulpur district of Assam.
The accused has been identified as one Juma Brahma.
According to reports, Brahma who is a drug addict, managed to escape from the clutches of the police when he was brought to a hospital for medical check-up.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to trace the accused.
