Drug addicts escape rehabilitation centre in Assam’s Nagaon

Guwahati: In a shocking incident, as many as 16 youths fled from a rehabilitation centre in Nagaon district of Assam on Tuesday.

The incident took place at Puranigudam of the district.

According to reports, youths managed to escape after breaking the grill of the kitchen of the rehabilitation centre “Pure Life Foundation” at Parghat in Puranigudam.

Stunned neighbours also witnessed the escape, which was sensationally captured on the CCTV camera set up at the facility.

The youths fled after the center’s caregiver left for a local store.

Several fellow youths of the centre were allegedly threatened and the others fled from the centre. 

In this regard, the director of “Pure Life Foundation” has reported the incident to the police by filing a FIR at Puranigudam police station.
