Guwahati: In yet another police encounter one more criminal who is accused of trafficking drugs injured in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
The accused has been identified as Noor Uddin.
The incident took place in the Bokajan town of the district when Uddin was taken to nab one of his associates in Dimapur city of Nagaland.
The accused was shot by the officials when he allegedly tried to leap out of the police car.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, Uddin along with a woman identified as Anita Gogoi were arrested by the Khatkhati Police on April 18.
The officials further recovered a total of 100 grams of heroin from their possession.
Meanwhile, Uddin was shot on his leg by the police and was immediately shifted to Diphu Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.
