Guwahati: One person has been arrested and suspected drugs worth Rs 6 crore seized in Guwahati city of Assam on Tuesday.
The arrestee has been identified as Khairuz Zaman.
The incident took place in the Boragaon area of the city.
According to reports, a vehicle was intercepted by the on-going police personnel. On checking the vehicle, 34 boxes filled with suspected contraband drugs has been recovered.
In a similar incident, another person has also been arrested from Chirang district of Assam.
The person identified as Safikul Hussain.
Hussain has been arrested from the Bijni town of the district.
The police officials recovered 14 packets of suspected drugs from his possession.
It may be mentioned that both the accused is currently being interrogated by the police officials and further investigation into the matter is underway.
