Guwahati: A woman in Golaghat’s Maidamanigaon was allegedly killed by her “drunk” husband on Monday night.
As per locals, the woman identified as Runumai Orang was killed over an argument with her husband Niran Orang. They had an argument over Niran being drunk and not going to work. With this argument going on, Niran allegedly slit his wife’s neck with a knife.
He after allegedly attacking Runumai, fled from the spot. The locals on finding out about the issue, recover her from the spot, and took her to a hospital but she succumbed to her injuries on reaching the hospital.
As of now, the police are investigating the entire matter and steps to nab the accused are on.
