Guwahati: The newly elected General Secretary of the Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Students’ Union (DUPGSU) is allegedly involved in the ragging incident took place on November 30.
The victim Anand Sarma has made this shocking revelation while receiving treatment .
Anand Sarma further asserted that the general secretary had threatened him not to tell anyone about the ragging event.
Another suspect in the Dibrugarh University ragging incident was taken into custody on Tuesday night. The student leader who was arrested has been identified Subhrajit Baruah .
As a result of their suspected involvement in the ragging case, 22 university students have been rusticated in total.
Notably, a university first-semester student jumped from the third floor of a hostel building to avoid ragging on Sunday.
The victim student Anand Sarma who is a resident of Amguri ,Assam is receiving medical care at the Aditya Hospital in Dibrugarh.
