Due To Weather Conditions, Assam Police Recruitment Process Postponed
Guwahati: The recruiting process for Assam’s police forces came to a halt on Sunday due to severe weather conditions in the Northeast.
Because of heavy rain and landslides in parts of Assam, the recruitment procedure for the Assam Police has been postponed.
The exam which was supposed to take place on today (May 16) has been rescheduled until May 23.
The recruitment procedure was to take place in Assam’s Dima Hasao district, one of the state’s worst-affected areas.
Heavy rain and flooding at the Haflong Railway station has previously disrupted rail services, stranding travellers.
Assam Rifles under the supervision of Spear Corps did rescue operations at the Railway station and made arrangements for removing trapped passengers at the request of the district disaster management authorities.
Meanwhile, the Physical Endurance Test (PST) and Physical Standard Test (PET) exams have been rescheduled for May 23 due to similar circumstances.
