Guwahati: Two peoples have been arrested by Hatigaon Police on Friday in relation to the suspected robberies at two temples in Guwahati of Assam.
The suspected thieves identified as Aafiqul Ali and Ashraful Islam.
According to reports, they looted temples in the Hatigaon and Bhetapara area of the city.
Reportedly, the two accused were found by the police with many temple-related objects.
Accordingly, on August 5 they allegedly destroyed the temple grill and looted the Bhetapara temple and along with other priceless temple property, they stole the cash from the established donation box.
