Durga Puja Pandal Prepared in Replica of Ram Temple in Assam’s Ayodhya
Guwahati: A Durga Puja pandal in the Bongaigaon district of Assam will be a duplicate of the Ram temple that is still being built in Ayodhya. The Forward Sporting Club in the city’s West-colony is constructing the themed pandal.
It’s interesting that the Durga Maa image in this pandal is devoid of any weapons and stands out as a representation of peace.
Speaking of the Durga Puja pandal, Tarak Nath Ghosh stated, “This year, Forward Sporting Club turns 59, and to celebrate, the club has given a replica of the magnificent Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. Even though everyone is eager to see what the Ram temple will look like, it will take some time to complete. In light of this, we made an effort to design a model that would serve as a replica of the Ram temple for local residents.”
In addition to this the committee said, “we also tried to make a point with the Durga idol. This time, the Durga statue in this pandal is portrayed without any weapons; instead, she strikes a peaceful yoga position and sends out a message.”
