Eastern Air Marshal D. K. Patnaik Visits Assam & Arunachal
Guwahati: Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal Dilip Kumar Patnaik visited Assam and Arunachal Pradesh for two days to assess the base’s operational and administrative preparations.
Patnaik visited the forward regions of Walong and Vijaynagar as well as several units and sectors of the Air Force Station at Mohanbari in Dibrugarh on Tuesday before calling it a day.
According to a spokeswoman, he interacted with the staff and emphasised the base’s strategic relevance as well as potential future expansion.
The air marshal emphasised the need of understanding one’s position in operations and having confidence when operating systems and aircraft.
He also visited the Advance Landing Grounds at Vijaynagar and Walong in Arunachal Pradesh, besides the nearby Air Force Station at Dinjan, the spokesperson added.
