Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) Reaffirms Decision to Boycott Upcoming Urban and Local Bodies Election

Northeast Desk, 30th April: The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) has reiterated its stance on abstaining from the upcoming urban and local bodies election, reaffirming a “unanimous resolution” adopted at Chenmoho village on February 23, 2024.

According to the ENPO media cell, the organization has decided not to participate in the forthcoming urban and local bodies election scheduled for June 26, 2024. This decision aligns with the Chenmoho Resolution, which asserts the commitment of Eastern Nagaland citizens to refrain from involvement in the election process until certain conditions are met.

The Chenmoho Resolution outlines the steadfast commitment of Eastern Nagaland citizens to abstain from participating in the urban and local bodies election, as well as in any Central or State celebrations/events, until the Frontier Nagaland Territory becomes a tangible reality.

This reaffirmation of the decision underscores the ENPO’s dedication to its objectives and signifies its continued pursuit of specific outcomes related to the establishment of the Frontier Nagaland Territory.
