Guwahati: The Election Commission (EC) revised the Assembly election dates for Manipur on Thursday.
The first phase election will now take place on Feb 28 instead of Feb 27 and the second phase of voting will be held on 5 March which was earlier scheduled on March 3.
The commission has rescheduled the dates for the assembly elections for the second time.
The EC changed the date for polling in Punjab just days after issuing the schedule. The election was originally set for February 14 but was moved to February 20.
It may be mentioned that the first phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh was held today.
