ECI Gears Up for Fifth Phase of Lok Sabha Elections on May 20

National Desk, 19th May: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced its readiness for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to commence on Monday, May 20. Voting will occur in 49 parliamentary constituencies across eight states and union territories.

The participating regions include Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Concurrently, voters in Odisha will also cast their ballots for 35 Assembly Constituencies in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.

The ECI has taken comprehensive measures to ensure that polling stations are well-prepared and equipped to facilitate voters comfortably and securely. Amenities such as shade, drinking water, ramps, and toilets have been arranged at the polling stations. Special instructions have been given to State CEOs, DEOs, and other state machinery to implement necessary precautions to counter the hot weather in affected areas.

Polling parties have been dispatched with all required equipment and materials to their respective stations. The ECI has called on voters to participate actively, highlighting the significance of voting responsibly and with pride.
