Guwahati: The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced the polling date for the 99-Majuli (ST) bye-election which will take place on March 7, 2022.
The assembly seat for the 99-Majuli (ST) remained vacant after former Chief Minister and MLA Sarbananda Sonowal was elected to the Rajya Sabha on September 27
The vote will be counted on March 10th, and nominations will be accepted through February 17th.
During the elections, the bye-election process will be carried out in accordance with the COVID-19 protocols in the constituency.
