Guwahati: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) launched a raid at the home of contentious Assam Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Rounak Ali Hazarika on Thursday, just a few days after the Supreme Court granted bail.
Rounak and his wife were both questioned by the ED.
The list of Rounak’s assets was acquired from the police while the ED sleuths continued their raid on his home.
The Guwahati Regional Office has received a complaint from the ED against Rounak.
The Chief Minister’s Vigilance Cell detained Rounak last year, and early this year, they filed a 156-page final additional chargesheet in connection with the disproportionate assets case that was being heard in court.
