Guwahati: Education Minister of Assam Ranoj Pegu to introduce two bills on March 20 related to education in the Assam Legislative Assembly.
The Assam College Employees (Provincialization Amendment) Bill-2023 and the Assam Elementary and Secondary School Teachers Bill-2023 will be introduced into the Assembly.
Moreover, there will be a discussion on budget after a question and answer session.
The state budget for the fiscal year 2023–24 was submitted to the Legislature by Assam’s finance minister Ajanta Neog on March 16.
Earlier, Assam Trinamool Congress (TMC) have responded to the budget by criticising it and calling it aimless.
The budget was also criticised by Congress which stated that it would not be able to provide the state a route for progress.
Ripun Bora said that the budget was a tax-dependent budget and alleged that the budget would not be able to show the state a development path.
