Sports Desk, 1st August: The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has awarded official ratings to eight players from the Genius Chess Academy, as revealed in its latest rating list released on August 1. The players recognized for their outstanding performances are:
1. Arnav Talukdar (1459)
2. Isha Kashyap (1452)
3. Nibir Malakar (1444)
4. Prachurjya Changmai (1437)
5. Chandramauli Sarmah (1428)
6. Barnil Baishya (1432)
7. Aayush Kalita (1410)
8. Jisha Jain (1406)
These players earned their FIDE ratings based on their commendable performances in the Guwahati Smart City International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament held from July 2-7, and the 6th Ayodhana International FIDE Rating Chess Tournament held from July 9-14, both in Guwahati.
All eight players have been training at the Genius Chess Academy in Bhetapara, which has expressed immense pride in their achievements. The Academy conveyed its heartiest congratulations to the players, recognizing their hard work and dedication.
