Election Commission of India Assures Readiness for 2024 Parliamentary and State Assembly Elections
National Desk, 17th February: Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar affirmed the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) readiness to conduct the forthcoming 2024 Parliamentary elections and state Assembly elections. Kumar stated, “We are fully prepared to conduct 2024 Parliamentary elections and state Assembly elections. All the preparations are almost complete.”
As anticipation mounts for the Lok Sabha elections, the public eagerly awaits the Election Commission’s official declaration of the election date and the comprehensive schedule. Notably, in the previous general elections, the ECI unveiled the dates on March 10, 2019, setting the electoral machinery into motion. Upon the announcement of election dates, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) automatically kicks in, demanding strict adherence from all political parties until the day of the results.
Simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections, Assembly elections for Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh are anticipated to transpire, amplifying the electoral fervor across the nation.
