Guwahati: Asam Sahitya Sabha election process has begun on Wednesday.
According to reports, at least 18 candidates from the Jorhat headquarters have submitted their names for three Sahiya Sabha positions for which elections are being held.
The positions of president, vice president, and general secretary are up for election.
The deadline for nominations is October 27, after which time nominees may withdraw their names from consideration.
The polling will start from November 2-13.
