Guwahati: Yet another incident of man-animal conflict has come to fore wherein a youth has been severely injured after he was attacked by a wild elephant in Amching in Assam’s Guwahati on Saturday.
The wounded person was immediately rushed to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by the help of the locals as he was in a critical condition.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Diganta Kumar Choudhury of Guwahati confirmed about the development and said that the forest personnel informed the local police about the incident and locals immediately admitted the youth to the hospital.
Meanwhile, he is currently undergoing treatment.
As per reports the identity of the victim is still not known.
The video of the youth and the wild elephant has gone viral on social media as the locals captured the incident.
