Elephant Rampage Causes Chaos at Janata Bhawan in Guwahati

Guwahati, 26th June: An unexpected incident unfolded at Janata Bhawan in Guwahati’s Dispur area on the morning of June 26 as an elephant went on a rampage, damaging several vehicles parked in the vicinity.

The chaos ensued when the elephant, left unattended by its mahout for an extended period, grew agitated amidst the unfamiliar surroundings.

Promptly responding to the situation, officials from the forest department arrived at the scene and took immediate action. Reports indicate that the elephant was successfully tranquilized to restore order and ensure public safety.

Eyewitnesses reported scenes of panic as the elephant, nervous and disoriented by the crowd attempting to manage it, caused damage before being brought under control.

Authorities are now assessing the situation and ensuring that necessary precautions are in place to prevent such incidents in the future.
