Engineer Ratu Techi Challenges Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki’s Long Reign

Northeast Desk, 14th March: Engineer Ratu Techi, a former superintendent engineer of PWD and entrepreneur, has stepped up to challenge the 30-year dominance of former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Nabam Tuki. Techi received a warm reception at the Donyi Polo Airport in Itanagar, where thousands of workers from the BJP Papum Pare district’s 15th Sagalee assembly constituency gathered to welcome their final BJP candidate.

Nabam Tuki, who recently resigned from his position as President of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress, plans to return to the political arena and confront the challenge posed by Techi. A native of Nimte under the Sagalee assembly constituency, Techi’s emergence has signaled a potential shift in the political landscape of Arunachal Pradesh. Despite Tuki’s stronghold in the Sagalee constituency since 1995, winning six terms, Techi’s candidacy represents a formidable challenge to his long-standing reign.
