ENNG member surrenders before police in Arunachal
Guwahati: A member of the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) surrendered before the Longdingpolice on Monday in Arunachal Pradesh.
The 19-year-old Wangchung Wangsa is a resident of Pongchau village in Longding district and an SS (Self-Styled) Pvt cadre in the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG), surrendered to the Longding district Superintendent of Police.
According to reports, the Longding Battalion of the Assam Rifles (AR) worked with the police to persuade the member to surrender.
According to an official, inducing the ENGG member’s surrender demonstrates the Assam Rifles’ humane side while trying to protect the peace in the region.
Officials noted that it will inspire other providers in the region to join the mainstream.
According to the official, the surrendered operator asked the ‘comrades’ to stop using violence and reintegrate into society.
