Ex Meghalaya Home Minister RG Lyngdoh Passes Away
Guwahati: Ex home minister and veteran politician from Meghalaya – RG Lyngdoh passed away on Friday.
The news of the minister’s death has been confirmed by his relatives.
Lyngdoh was ill for some days and was recently released from a hospital in Shillong.
On July 11, former Meghalaya home minister Robert G Lyngdoh after his health condition was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Bethany hospital in Shillong.
RG Lyngdoh was a senior Congress leader of the state.
Lyngdoh was the brother of former Meghalaya minister and senior politician from the state Ampareen Lyngdoh.
He was the son of former MP and Meghalaya speaker Peter G Marbaniang and QE Lyngdoh.
He reportedly intended to return to Meghalayan politics after an absence of more than 14 years.
