Guwahati, 29th October: Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Eastern Command, on 29th October arrived at the Dibrugarh University ground to participate in the Ex-Servicemen Rally organized by DAO Division of the Indian Army.
This rally is part of the Indian Army’s commitment to pay tribute to the Veer Naris, the widows of ex-servicemen, and the entire ex-servicemen community, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the nation.
Held today, the event anticipates participation from approximately 4,000 ex-servicemen and their dependents hailing from the Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Digboi, and Duliajan regions.
The DAO division, in close collaboration with military establishments and relevant civil administration, has a primary goal of addressing the grievances and pension-related issues of ex-servicemen, further cementing the support and respect for those who have served their nation.
