Fake Currency racket busted in Tripura, 2 held
Guwahati: Two persons has been arrested with Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) from Khowai district of Tripura on Sunday.
The arrestees identified as Bajirai Reang (31) and Rakesh Malsom (32). Both of them is the resident of Taidu area of the district.
Following a tip off from sources the police officials launched a search operation in the Karoilong petrol pump of the district and seized one bike from their possession.
According to reports, the police officials arrested them and seized Rs 5.72 lakh.
Reportedly, the fake currency note was in Rs 2000 and Rs 500 denomination.
It needs to be mentioned that they were taken to Teliamura police station for interrogation.
