The Guwahati Police on Saturday has seized counterfeit currency notes worth of Rs. 7.50 lakhs and also arrested a person accused in the fake notes case. The accused has been identified as Viki Ahmed and the Police have recovered around 15 bundles of fake currency notes in Rs. 500 denomination.
According to the Police, accused 30-year-old Viki Ahmed belongs from Goreshwar and was carrying the counterfeit notes from Siliguri to Dhupdhara in Goalpara.
