Family members urge government appeal as 2 out of 40 workers from Assam remain trapped in Uttarakhand tunnel
Guwahati, 14th November: Amidst the grim situation in Uttarakhand’s Silkyara tunnel collapse, anguish grips the families of Sanjay Basumatary and Ramprasad Narzary from Assam’s Ramphalbil village in Kokrajhar.
Both men were among the 40 workers trapped when the tunnel collapsed on November 11.
Desperate for information about their trapped sons, families have been making anxious calls seeking updates on the rescue operation Sanjay’s elder brother, Rocket Basumatary, also a laborer at the site, managed to be in contact.
The distraught families appeal to both the Assam and Uttarakhand governments, urging immediate and safe rescue operations to bring their loved ones back home.
As rescue efforts intensify, the entire community holds onto hope for the well-being of those trapped in this challenging situation.
