Fans Wearing Indian Jersey Denied Entry at Asia Cup 2022 Final Match
Guwahati: India-themed cricket supporters claimed they were turned away from the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
The supporters arrived to witness the Asia Cup 2022 championship game between Pakistan and Sri Lanka while wearing India jerseys when they were denied entry.
Team India was eliminated from the multi-nation tournament’s final after losing to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage.
Cricket fans purchased tickets for the event to see the championship game between the two teams. Security detained them because they were wearing Indian jerseys.
It should be mentioned that Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday by defeating Pakistan in the championship match. In the tournament’s championship match, which was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) the two top teams squared off.
