Guwahati, 2nd July: Last night, a tragic incident unfolded at Ibrahim Ali’s residence around 8:30 PM when six assailants forcefully entered, perpetrating a brutal attack. According to CCTV footage, the assailants assaulted Ibrahim on the verandah of his house, first stabbing him in the neck with a sharp weapon and subsequently shooting him in the stomach with a machete.
Amidst the chaos, Ibrahim’s mother attempted to intervene upon recognizing one of the attackers but was injured in the process. The entire sequence of events was captured by CCTV cameras installed around the house, providing crucial evidence for the investigation.
Local authorities, including the Bajali Superintendent of Police, have swiftly identified the perpetrators involved in this heinous crime. They have assured the public that the culprits will be apprehended soon and brought to justice.
Expressing deep concern over the incident, Zakir Hussain Sikdar, MLA of Chhoti Kshetri Sabti, remarked, “Today around 8 PM, some assailants broke into Ibrahim Ali’s house, called him outside, and brutally attacked him. He was stabbed and shot, succumbing to his injuries while being transported to the hospital. This is a shocking and unprecedented event for our community. I have met with the Bajali SP to urge quick apprehension of the culprits. The authorities are actively investigating, and the local community demands swift justice.”
