Guwahati: In yet another shocking incident, 22-year-old daughter was allegedly killed by her father in Mathura of Uttar Pradesh and then dumped the body in a suitcase near the Yamuna Expressway.
The police arrested the individual after looking into the situation.
The deceased identified as Aayushi Chaudhary was found dead inside a suitcase that had been abandoned close to the Yamuna Expressway.
She was allegedly shot by her father identified as Nitesh Yadav, after he became upset with her for travelling out of town for a few days without telling him.
Additionally, her father apparently resented her for choosing to wed a member of a different caste.
However, the police traced the accused after the recovery of the suitcase.
The police started reviewing CCTV footage and tracking phones to locate the husband-and-wife team.
They posted flyers throughout Delhi and used social media to find the woman.
Yadav allegedly shot her with his licenced firearm.
After interviewing Yadav and learning further that the family had not reported her missing despite her having been absent for a week, the police became sceptical about the situation.
The police are now investigating other people in the family as well.
