Ferry Services Between Guwahati and North Guwahati Resume Following Three-Day Suspension

Guwahati, 9th May: Ferry services linking Guwahati and North Guwahati banks of the Brahmaputra River have resumed operations today after a three-day hiatus.

This interruption began on Monday due to heightened water levels in the Brahmaputra, rendering the ferries inoperable.

However, early this morning, ferries were observed navigating between the two banks, with all three ghats – the middle section, Rajaduar ghat, and Majgaon ghat – operational.

Previous reports indicated a commencement of services from Umananda ghat in Guwahati on Wednesday.
