Finance Min Nirmala Sitharaman to release assessment report of states, UTs
Guwahati: The assessment report of the States and Union Territories under the “Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP), 2020” will be released on Thursday by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will also be present on the occasion.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the BRAP report contains 301 reform points that address 15 business regulatory domains, including access to information, single window systems, labour, environmental protection, sectoral reforms, and other reforms spanning the lifecycle of a typical business.
Sectoral reforms have been first introduced in BRAP 2020, with 72 reforms identified across 9 sectors, including trade licences, healthcare, legal metrology, cinema halls, hospitality, fire NOC, telecom, filming, and tourism, the Ministry said.
Four editions of the report have been released so far, and the latest edition was for the 2020 assessment.
