Fire Breaks Out at Manufacturing Firm in Hawaipur Village, West Karbi Anglong
Guwahati, 13th August: Hawaipur village in the West Karbi Anglong district was marred by flames in an early morning incident on Sunday, as a fire erupted during operations conducted by a manufacturing firm.
Sources indicate that the fire outbreak transpired while the manufacturing firm, NK Company, was engaged in the preparation of a crucial mixture essential for road construction. This operation was part of the Kheroni- Lamsakhang link road project.
The incident was triggered by a mechanical malfunction, resulting in the ignition and subsequent consumption of a segment of the equipment.
In response, the fire brigade acted promptly to contain the blaze, curtailing its potential escalation. This unfortunate event serves as a poignant reminder of the inherent risks intertwined with construction endeavors.
