Five NSCN cadres surrender in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati: Five cadres from two separate factions of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) have surrendered before the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The militants belong to NSCN (K-YA) and the NSCN (IM).

According to reports, a cadre among the militants identified Goliam Gangsa was an NSCN (K-YA) self-styled (SS) lance corporal who joined the militant group in 2008.

Gangsa also surrendered a 32 mm pistol along with living 32 mm ammunition and a 32 mm magazine.

It may be mentioned that the other cadres who had surrendered were identified as Wangjah Wangsu, SS corporal of the NSCN (K-YA), Khuadan Wangsu, SS lance corporal of the NSCN (K-YA), Chaifut Pansa (34), SS corporal of the NSCN (IM), and Thiamlang Tesia (36), SS sergeant major of the NSCN (IM).
