Guwahati: In yet another incident, a forest guard was injured after a one horned rhino attacked him in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park (KNP) on Thursday.
The injured forest guard has been identified as Rupam Chetia.
The incident took place when three forest guards were on their duty at the Agoratoli King-Cobra Forest camp area when the one horned female rhino attacked the three guards and, in the incident, Rupam Chetia sustained severely injured.
Chetia who sustained injuries on his leg in the attack is reportedly the jawan of Rhino protection Force in Kaziranga.
It needs to be mentioned that Chetia was immediately rushed to the Swahid Kamala Miri Sub Divisional Civil Hospital in Bokakhat and later shifted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
