Guwahati: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized around 140 packets of foreign cigarettes from Rajdhani Express at Guwahati Railway Station on Monday.
The GRP has arrested one person in connection to the incident.
The arrestee has been identified as Indrajit Singh, a resident of Dimapur of Nagaland.
According to reports, the foreign cigarette was recovered stuffed in a shoebox by the GRP.
Moreover the 140 packets of foreign cigarette which was seized by the GRP was believe to be exported from Myanmar.
Meanwhile, the recovered foreign cigarette costs Rs 2 lakh in international market.
Reports further claimed that Singh boarded the Rajdhani Express from Dimapur on Monday mid night.
Further investigations are underway.
