Guwahati: A former Assam Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APDCL) employee was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Jorhat district of Assam on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhuban Bora who is a resident of Meleng Pujari Gaon of the district.
Bora was found dead near the roadside near the Meleng Pujari Gaon.
According to his family, Bora went to the market on Friday evening but did not return and his phone was also unavailable.
In a panic, his relatives searched all over the area for him and eventually discovered him dead.
The police were immediately notified of the occurrence because the dead corpse had injuries.
However, Bora’s relatives suspected that he had been murdered.
Meanwhile, the police have sent the body to the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem reports.
An investigation has also been launched in this regard.
