Former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi passes away at 86
Former Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi who was undergoing treatment has died in GMCH at 5.34 PM on Monday. The Veteran leader was admitted to GMCH in November 2 and was on ventilation support and suffered a multi-organ failure. The Chief Minister was on dialysis on Sunday which he could only sustained for six hours.
His blood pressure was also fluctuating and he was breathing with the help of machines only. Tarun Gogoi was also infected with COVID-19 and was facing post-recovery complications. Tarun Gogoi was Chief Minister of Assam from 2001 to 2016 and was also a prime leader of Congress in Assam.
