Foundation For Tamulpur Medical College Laid In Assam

Guwahati: The chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma paid an official visit to Tamulpur on Wednesday during which he inaugurated a number of projects and laid their foundations.

According to a formal statement, these projects have the potential to drastically change the lower Assam district and make it one of the state’s most progressive districts.

The proposed medical college and hospital to be built at Kosubari in the Tamulpur district for a cost of Rs 686 crore had its Bhumi Pujan and the Assam Chief Minister was present.

The chief minister of Assam laid the cornerstones for concrete bridges spanning rivers the total cost of which will be several hundred crores.

The Assam chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma also inaugurated a number of road building initiatives.

At a public event held in Kosugaon, the Assam chief minister also effectively opened nine model anganawadi kendras.

Additionally, he virtually opened two model schools in Assam’s Tamulpur and Nagrijuli.

According to the chief minister of Assam, the projects that were officially opened or started on Wednesday have the potential to drastically change Tamulpur district into one of the most forward-thinking in the coming days.

According to the chief minister of Assam, the current state and federal governments’ ongoing attention has allowed the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) to see unparalleled growth and development in recent years.

The chief minister of Assam also said that the impending Orunodoi 2.0 programme would add 6000 new Tamulpur district beneficiaries.

He also spoke about the plan to provide ration cards to around 7000 beneficiaries.
