Four Booked for Conspiring to Kill Uttarakhand Minister
Guwahati: The Uttarakhand Police have booked four people for allegedly plotting to assassinate BJP politician and state cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna.
One of the youngest members of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government is Saurabh, the son of the former chief minister Vijay Bahuguna.
According to the officials, Hira Singh, Satnam Singh alias Satta, Harbhajan Singh, and Mohammad Aziz alias Guddu are all accused of conspiring to attack the minister.
Senior Superintendent of Udham Singh Nagar Police (SSP) Manjunath TC described it as a “sensational conspiracy,” adding that “This is a serious problem and a case has been lodged on the complaint of the minister’s representative.”
He claimed that some of the individuals were being detained and questioned.
According to circle officer Om Prakash Sharma, the four were taken into custody from Sitarganj in the Udham Singh Nagar district as a result of a complaint made by BJP leader and Bahuguna’s agent Umashankar Dubey.
